Bye Bye Lorem Ipsum, Hello Allston!

TAGS: None

As far as this librarian can tell, all 15,000+ of our dear zines have made it over the river to Allston and are in-tact and even in some semblance of order!

Although we are mostly out of Lorem Ipsum, you can STILL return zines there (@1299 Cambridge St. Cambridge) until August 1st (please do that!). After that, ideally you will see us at an event, come over to the new (temporary) space during our sporadic open hours, ask us to open by appointment, or even mail those babies to us direct.

There is now a spot on our homepage with a list of our summer events. Come see us at the New England Zine Fest in August, and don’t forget about the big community meeting on July 23rd. We wanna know what you wanna see in Papercut’s next space. We wanna feed you snacks and talk about our other locations.

OK! As always, email us or text us with any questions. Over and out.

Our Online Catalog is Updated and Better!

TAGS: None

Ok, so it’s still just a spreadsheet. But you are now able to search within a column (say, you want to find out if YOUR zine has been catalogged, or you want to know how many zines we have that were made in 1997, or you want to know if there are any zines written in French…) AND we have added the remaing 500+ zines we’ve catalogged since the last time it was updated. !!!

(Click to be taken to the catalog, or click “Zines” in the menu above)

As always, you are also welcome to drop us an email, text, or swing by the library when we are open if you still can’t find what you’re looking for! We’re here to help. :)

We also carry some zines that are older but still interesting/relevant to us.

We ALSO have a copy of each in our library for those of you who would rather check them out and bring them back every two weeks/browse inside the library!

Indoor Yardsale 2/2/14! Come buy comics!

TAGS: None

The time has come for decisiveness about the enormous collection of comic books we have accumulated over the years: Are they zines, or what?!??

The consensus is that, while some zines are comics, not all comics are zines.

Therefore, all our old, rare, and straight up WEIRD comic books will be available to browse, buy, and TAKE on Sunday, February 2 from 11am-7pm.

In addition to our variety of comics, we will also be selling some odds + ends: furniture, art supplies, knick nacks, records, CDs, taps, and anything else you could ever imagine!

We are eager to free up as much space as possible, while giving these items to good homes such as yours, so please feel free to make offers on ANYTHING!

The bookstore and the zine library will be open during this event, and refreshments will be served.

If you have any questions or specific requests to know some titles we’ll be selling, please don’t hesitate to email us! They are all neatly cataloged and we can give you plenty of info.

WHEW. Sorry for the essay. We are just very excited!
